Check Accelerator Pedal Sensor Area (Method With Circuit Tester)

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
  2. Remove the ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Engine Control Module (ECM)>REMOVAL Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H6DO)>Engine Control Module (ECM)>REMOVAL
  3. Install the ST between the ECM and bulkhead harness and the engine wiring harness. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>General Description>CAUTION Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H6DO)>General Description>CAUTION

    ST 18460AA050 CHECK BOARD 

  4. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
  5. Turn the ignition switch to ON. (Engine OFF)
  6. Measure the voltage between ECM connector terminals using ST.

    Accelerator pedal sensor Accelerator pedal Terminal No. Standard
    Main Not depressed (full closed) 29 (+) and 33 (-) 0.3 - 1.1 V
    Depressed (full opened) 2.3 - 3.8 V
    Sub Not depressed (full closed) 31 (+) and 34 (-) 0.3 - 1.1 V
    Depressed (full opened) 2.3 - 3.8 V
  7. After inspection, install the related parts in the reverse order of removal.
