Starting System & Charging Systems: Battery: Installation
CAUTION:
- If the battery terminal is worn or the terminal part is loose, replace it with a new battery.
- Since the initial diagnosis of the electronic throttle control is conducted after the battery terminal is connected, wait for 10 seconds or more after turning the ignition switch to ON, and then start the engine.
- Install the battery.
- Install the battery holder.
Tightening torque:
3.5 N.m (0.4 kgf-m, 2.6 ft-lb)
- Install the battery cable holder.
- Connect the positive terminal of battery.
Tightening torque:
6 N.m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.4 ft-lb)
- Install the battery sensor. (When the battery is replaced) Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DOTC)>BATTERY SENSOR>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the connector to the battery sensor. (When the battery is not replaced)
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
