Steering Heater Switch
- Measure the resistance between connector terminals.
Preparation tool:
Circuit tester
Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard 4 - 5 Operate the switch and hold it. Less than 1 Ω Do not operate the switch. 1 MΩ or more - Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination and indicator inside the switch.
Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 3 (+) - 1 (-) Apply battery voltage. Illumination (mark) turns on. 4 (+) - 7 (-) Indicator turns on. 3 (+) - 1 (-)
4 (+) - 7 (-)Apply battery voltage simultaneously. Illumination (mark) and indicator turn on in dimmed condition at one level. - Replace the steering heater switch if it is found defective.
