Torque Converter Assembly: Installation
- Install a new O-ring to front reduction drive gear.CAUTION:
- Before installing O-rings, apply sufficient amount of CVTF to avoid damage and deformation.
- Use SUBARU genuine CVTF.
- Be careful not to incorrectly install or fail to install O-rings and other such parts.
- While holding the torque converter assembly by hand, carefully install it into the torque converter case.CAUTION:
- Before installing the torque converter assembly, apply CVTF to the oil seal lip.
- Do not damage the oil seal and O-ring.
- Engage the splines while gently rotating the torque converter assembly by hand, and securely insert the assembly.
- Measure the dimension "A" from converter case end surface to drive plate mounting surface.

6.8 mm (0.268 in) or less
- Install the transmission body. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
