Camshaft Position Sensor

Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Prepare an oscilloscope.
Disconnect the connector from ECM in numerical order as shown in the figure.

Attach the ST between the ECM, engine harness and the bulkhead wiring harness. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>General Description>PREPARATION TOOL>HOW TO USE CHECK BOARD .
Special Tool:

CHECK BOARD (18460AA120)

Connect the probe to ST.

Start the engine and let it idle.
Check the waveforms and voltage.
NOTE: For waveform and voltage, refer to "Control Module (ECM) I/O Signal". Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>CONTROL MODULE I/O SIGNAL>ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION .
After inspection, install the related parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: For installation procedures of ECM connectors, refer to Engine Control Module (ECM). Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>INSTALLATION .
