Except For Hybrid Model
• CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR AREA (METHOD WITH CIRCUIT TESTER)
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Disconnect the ECM connector. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>REMOVAL .
- Attach the ST between ECM and the engine wiring harness and the bulkhead harness. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>General Description>PREPARATION TOOL>HOW TO USE CHECK BOARD
.
Special tool:
CHECK BOARD (18460AA120)
- Connect the battery ground terminal. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Turn to IG ON.
- Measure the voltage between ECM connector terminals.

• CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR AREA (METHOD WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR)
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor.
- Turn to IG ON.
- Read the accelerator opening angle and the accelerator sensor voltage using Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>DATA MONITOR
.

• OTHER INSPECTIONS
- Check that there is no deformation, cracks or other damages.
- Check for smooth operation when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
- Check if the accelerator pedal returns to its original position smoothly when the pedal is released.
