LH Side

  1. Remove the battery.

    Except for hybrid model: 

    Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>BATTERY>REMOVAL .

    Hybrid model: 

    Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY>REMOVAL .

  2. Disengage the claw (A) which holds the battery cable assembly to the bracket (except for hybrid model), and disengage the claw (B) which holds the engine wiring harness.
  3. Remove the bracket.

  4. Disconnect connector (A) from ECM.
    CAUTION: In order to prevent damaging the connector (A), check that the lock is released completely when moving the lever.
    NOTE: To disconnect the connector (A), press the portion (a) shown in the figure to release the lock and move the lever in the direction of arrow.

  5. Disconnect connector (B) and terminal (C) from the main fuse box.
  6. Remove the engine wiring harness from the clip (D), place it aside so that it does not interfere with work.

  7. Disconnect the connector from ignition coil.
    NOTE: While pressing the spring (a) shown in the figure, slide it in the direction of the arrow with a clip remover.

  8. Remove the ignition coil.
