Select Lever: Removal
- Shift the select lever to "N" range.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the center exhaust pipe. (2.5 L model) Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DO)>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .
- Remove the front exhaust pipe and rear exhaust pipe. (3.6 L model) Ref. to EXHAUST (H6DO)>FRONT EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL . Ref. to EXHAUST (H6DO)>REAR EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .
- Remove the center exhaust cover.
- Remove the cable from arm assembly.CAUTION: Do not apply extra overload while holding the part (a).
- Raise the claw of clamp and remove the cable.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Lower the cover grip AT vertically toward the lever.
- Remove the clamp grip pin.
- Remove the grip assembly.
- Remove the rod COMPL.
- Remove the console front cover assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
- Remove the console box. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
- Remove the console front side cover assemblies RH and LH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the harness connector.
- Remove the four bolts to remove the select lever assembly.
- Turn over the gasket and remove the harness clip from the select lever.
- Remove the indicator cover.
- Remove the harness connector from the select lever COMPL.
- Remove the harness from the select lever COMPL.
- Remove the housing and the blind.
- Remove the terminal of the indicator light using a flat tip precision screwdriver with a tip width of 1.3 mm (0.05 in) or less, KTC connector terminal tool ECC-1T or equivalent.
