Engine Starting System & Charging System: Starter: Removal

Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Remove the intercooler. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>INTERCOOLER>REMOVAL .
Remove the center exhaust pipe (rear). Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (REAR) .
Remove the bolts securing the CVTF cooler pipe. (Model with CVTF cooler (air cool))

Remove the nut at the bottom of the starter.

Disconnect the connector, terminal B and ground terminal.
CAUTION: In order to prevent damaging the ground terminal, fix the ground terminal when loosing the bolt, and avoid the part from rotating together while loosening the bolt.

Remove the cable stay and starter.
NOTE: Remove from the upper side of the vehicle.
