Inhibitor Switch: Removal

  1. Shift the select lever to "N" range.
  2. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the snap pin and washer, and disconnect the select cable.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

  4. Remove the spring pin and shifter arm.

  5. Disconnect the inhibitor harness connector from inhibitor switch.
  6. Remove the two inhibitor switch securing bolts.

  7. Remove the inhibitor switch.
