Draining Fuel Partially

WARNING: Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION: Be careful not to spill fuel.
  1. Lift up the vehicle.
  2. Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
  3. Disconnect the circulate tube from the fuel filler pipe assembly. Ref. to QUICK CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION (TYPE F) .
    CAUTION:
    • Be careful not to spill fuel.
    • Catch the fuel from fuel filler pipe and circulate tube using a container or cloth.

  4. Connect ST to the circulate tube. Ref. to QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE F) .

    Preparation tool: 

    ST: FUEL PIPE ADAPTER (18471AA000)

  5. Connect the hose of gasoline proof pump to the ST and drain the fuel.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to spill fuel.

    Special tool: 

    FUEL PIPE ADAPTER (18471AA000)

  6. Install the related parts in the reverse order after draining the fuel.
    NOTE: For information about connecting the quick connector on the circulate tube, refer to "Fuel Delivery and Evaporation Lines". Ref. to QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE F) .
