LH Side

  1. Using a claw-foot wrench, install the knock sensor and connect the connector (A).
    NOTE:
    • Knock sensor must be positioned so that the connector center comes within the range shown in the figure.
    • Make sure that the knock sensor and its connector do not touch the adjacent parts.

    • Use the following formula to calculate the reading of a torque wrench.
    Calculation formula
    T = 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb) x L1/(L1+L2)
    T: Reading of the torque wrench
    L1: Effective length of the torque wrench
    L2: Effective length of the crowfoot wrench
    NOTE: If the effective length of the tool used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the tool.

    Tightening torque: 

    25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

  2. Install the connector (A) and clip (B).

  3. Install the clip (C), clip (D) and clip (E), and connect connector (A) and connector (B).

  4. Install the intercooler. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
