Start failure

Starting failure is detected when the system restarts the engine.

Starter motor is faulty
Fuel pump is faulty
Fuel injector circuit is faulty

Starting circuit failure

Detected that the engine does not rotate when the system restarts the engine.

Starter motor is faulty
Restart circuit relay malfunction, open or short circuit of harness, poor contact of connector (starter relay, starter cut relay)

EyeSight malfunction⁽¹⁾

EyeSight malfunction is detected while the EyeSight system automatically stops the vehicle and during Auto Start Stop operation.

CAN communication error is detected while the EyeSight system automatically stops the vehicle and during Auto Start Stop operation.

NOTE:

To clear the autostart cancel codes, clear the memory using Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
Up to five autostart cancel codes can be stored. If five or more autostart cancel codes occur, codes will be deleted from the oldest one.
If autostart cancel codes are not stored, the ignition switch may have been quickly turned from OFF to ON during Auto Start Stop. Or, it is possible that temporary poor contact occurs in the ignition power supply circuit.
Autostart cancel code 03 will be stored even when canceled by the user operation. Check the time of occurrence and time stamp by interviewing customers.
Autostart cancel codes 06 and 07 will be stored when the restart cannot be activated by the system during Auto Start Stop.
If autostart cancel codes are not stored, perform reading of the TCM diagnostic codes to check if DTC P0604, P0605 and P0613 is displayed. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS) (CROSSTREK MODEL)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . Also perform reading of the ECM diagnostic codes to check if DTC P1603 and DTC P1604 are displayed. If DTC is not detected, a temporary poor contact of the battery terminal, TCM connector or ECM connector may be the cause.
