Engine Oil: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Vehicle components are extremely hot immediately after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
- If the engine oil is spilt over the engine, exhaust pipe or the under cover, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
Engine oil:
Refer to RECOMMENDED MATERIALS>GREASE .
Engine oil capacity:
Refer to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION .
- Remove the oil filler cap.
- Remove the clips and turn the engine oil drain cover 180°.
- Drain engine oil by loosening the drain plug.
- Install the drain plug using a new gasket.
Tightening torque:
41.7 N.m (4.3 kgf-m, 30.8 ft-lb)
- Turn the engine oil drain cover 180° back to the original position, and install the clips.
- Add engine oil up to the "F" line on oil level gauge.
- Install the oil filler cap.
- Check the engine oil level. Refer to LUBRICATION (H4DO)>ENGINE OIL>INSPECTION .
