Transmission Control Device: Installation

Install the parking support.
Tightening torque:

25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)
Install the extension case. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>EXTENSION CASE>INSTALLATION .
Install the manual valve.
Install the manual plate (B) to the parking rod (A).
Install the shift connecting rod (C) of manual valve.

Insert the shifter arm shaft to the transmission body, install the manual plate to the shifter arm shaft, and secure the shifter arm shaft with a bolt.
NOTE: Do not damage the lip of oil seal press-fitted in the transmission case.

Tightening torque:

7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)
Install the detent spring.
Tightening torque:

7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)
Install a new spring pin.
Install the inhibitor switch. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>INHIBITOR SWITCH>INSTALLATION .
Install the oil strainer and oil pan. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>OIL PAN>INSTALLATION .
Install the transmission body. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
