Transmission Control Device: Removal
- Remove the transmission body. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
- Remove the inhibitor switch. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>INHIBITOR SWITCH>REMOVAL .
- Remove the oil pan and oil strainer. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>OIL PAN>REMOVAL .
- Shift the manual plate to "N range", and remove the spring pin.NOTE: Prevent the spring pin from dropping using paper towel, etc.
- Remove the detent spring.
- Remove the bolt securing the shifter arm shaft, and remove the shifter arm shaft.NOTE: Do not damage the lip of oil seal press-fitted in the transmission case.
- Remove the shift connecting rod (C) of manual valve.
- Remove the parking rod (A) and manual plate (B).
- Remove the manual valve.
- Remove the extension case. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>EXTENSION CASE>REMOVAL .
- Remove the parking support.
