- Front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side) failure
- Power window main switch failure
- LIN communication error
- Body integrated unit malfunction
Wiring diagram:
Power window system Refer to WIRING SYSTEM>POWER WINDOW SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM .
- CHECK BATTERY
.
Check the battery. Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY . Refer to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DOTC)>BATTERY .
Is the battery OK?
Yes : Go to 2.
No : Charge or replace the battery.
- CHECK DTC
.
Read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Are any DTCs displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Refer to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .
No : Go to 3.
- CHECK [Power Supply Voltage] (DATA MONITOR)
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor. check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Refer to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- Power Supply Voltage
Is the displayed voltage approximately 10.0 [V] or more?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Replace the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side). Refer to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>FRONT REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .
- CHECK [Operation Enable Signal] (DATA MONITOR)
.
Using the Subaru Select Monitor. check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Refer to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- Operation Enable Signal
Is [ON] displayed?
Yes : Go to 5.
No : Inspect the body integrated unit. Refer to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
If no fault is found in the body integrated unit, replace the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side). Refer to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>FRONT REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .
- CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH
.
Operate the power window main switch and roll down the window to the full open position. Operate the power window main switch and roll up the window to the full close position.
Does the window roll up and down?
Yes : Go to 6.
No : Perform unit inspection of power window main switch. Refer to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH .
- CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT)
.
- Disconnect the body integrated unit connector.
- Disconnect the power window main switch connector.
- Disconnect the front regulator & motor assembly connector (driver's side).
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between the body integrated unit connector/power window main switch and the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side) connector.
