Tire Pressure Sensor Registration
NOTE:
If tires were rotated, the performance and function of TPM system is not affected. However, tire positions are not displayed in the Subaru Select Monitor correctly. Register transmitter IDs after rotation if correct display of tire sensor positions is required.
NOTE:
In the following procedure, the Subaru Select Monitor and Transmitter Registration Tool (TPM-00012 or Kent-Moore Part No. FJ45295) must be used.
NOTE:
If the ignition switch and power supply of Subaru Select Monitor are turned off or the registration procedure is not performed within 5 minutes, registration mode is cancelled.
NOTE:
If registration procedure is not successful after 2 attempts, replace TPM control module.
- Set the tire pressure of all wheels to specification.
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor, and select DIAGNOSIS on the START display.
- On VEHICLE SELECTION display, input the target vehicle information and select Confirmed (or OK).
- On MAIN MENU display, select EACH SYSTEM.
- On SELECT SYSTEM display, select TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR and then select ENTER.
- On SELECT FUNCTION (or SELECT SYSTEM) display, select WORK SUPPORT.
- On WORK SUPPORT display, select [TRANSMITTER] ID REGISTRATION.
- When "ID registration mode When execute Registered ID is deleted Continue?" is displayed, select OK.
- Contact the transmitter registration tool to the side wall area near the air valve on the front left tire, and press the switch. The transmitter ID is sent to the TPMS & keyless entry CM or TPMS CM (At this time, the tire pressure warning light blinks to confirm that the registration has started).
- The registration order of transmitter ID is not specified.
- Transmitter registration tool should be in contact with sidewall near transmitter.
- When registration of each tire is completed, ID Registration Completed is displayed on the Select Monitor screen.
- If registration procedure is stopped before completion (turning ignition switch to OFF position, wrong registration order, etc.), repeat procedure from step 5.
- When ID registration is completed, the tire pressure warning light remains lit for approximately 2 seconds, to end the registration. Switch the screen to Data Monitor of Subaru Select Monitor. See READ CURRENT DATA .
- Check the transmitter ID that was registered, then drive vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for at least 10 min.
