Belt Assembly Front Out
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .
- Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
- Do not drop or subject the pretensioner to any impact.
- Since the pretensioner and bracket are integrated as a unit, do not disassemble them.
- Do not reuse the clips on the top of the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR. Once the clip is removed, its holding force is reduced. Be sure to replace it with a new clip.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE: For model with the power seat, move the seat to the front-most position before removing the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
- Tilt the front seat backrest assembly forward, and move the front seat all the way forward.CAUTION: For the power seat, move the seat, disconnect the ground cable from the battery sensor, and then wait for 60 seconds or more before starting work.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to SEATS>Rear Seat>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover side sill front Rr, the cover side sill rear UPR, and the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR. (On the side where seat belt assembly is removed) Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Lower Inner Trim>REMOVAL .
- Remove the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR. (On the side where seat belt assembly is removed) Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Upper Inner Trim>REMOVAL .
- Remove the bolts, and then remove the belt assembly front OUT.
- Remove the bolt, and then remove the adjuster shoulder anchor.
