If the starter or TCM is replaced, always clear the start count or transfer the information of start count.
- Starter replacement: Start count clearing Refer to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>START COUNT CLEARING .
- TCM replacement*: Start count reading and writing Refer to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>START COUNT READING ECU TO SSM . Refer to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>START COUNT WRITING SSM TO ECU .
* Let the Subaru Select Monitor read "Start Count" before removing the used TCM, and then write these "Start Count" after installing a new TCM.
Preconditions for clearing the start count
- Number of times for starting is other than 0
- Common execution condition is established

- CAN communication for engine is normal.
- Following conditions are established
