Front Oxygen (A/F) Sensor: Removal

CAUTION: Vehicle components are extremely hot after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Lift up the vehicle.
  3. Remove the under cover front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Front Under Cover>REMOVAL .
  4. Apply spray-type lubricant (004301003) or equivalent to the threaded portion of front oxygen (A/F) sensor, and leave it for one minute or more.
  5. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the clip (B).
  6. Remove the front oxygen (A/F) sensor.
    CAUTION: When removing the front oxygen (A/F) sensor, wait until exhaust pipe cools, otherwise it will damage the exhaust pipe.
