Transfer Clutch: Disassembly

Remove the snap ring, and then remove the pressure plate, drive plate and driven plate.

Remove the snap ring using the ST and a press.
Preparation tool:

ST: COMPRESSOR SPECIAL TOOL (18762AA001)

Remove the transfer clutch piston seal.
Remove the return spring.

Remove the transfer clutch piston by blowing compressed air through transfer clutch hole.
NOTE: Block the hole opposite to the one to be blown with compressed air.

Using the ST and a press, remove transfer drive gear, parking gear and ball bearing.
Preparation tool:

ST: BEARING REMOVER (18767AA000)

NOTE: Let the ST sit on the parking gear.

Remove the snap ring from transfer drive gear.

Using the ST1, ST2 and a press, remove the parking gear from the transfer drive gear.
Preparation tool:

ST1: BUSHING 1-2 INSTALLER (499277100)

ST2: BEARING REMOVER (18767AA000)
