Transmission Case: Assembly

Using the ST, install the oil seal.
Preparation tool:

ST: INSTALLER (18657AA000)

Install it using ST1, ST2 and a press, with a new ball bearing (reduction driven gear side).
CAUTION:
- Before press-fitting the ball bearing, apply CVTF to press-fitting surface.
- Use SUBARU genuine CVTF.
Preparation tool:

ST1: INSTALLER (398177700)

ST2: PRESS SNAP RING (499755602)

Install it using ST1, ST2 and a press, with a new roller bearing (primary pulley side).
NOTE: Make adjustment so that the press gets in contact with the center of ST2.

Install it with a new snap ring (primary pulley side).

Install it using ST1, ST2 and a press, with a new roller bearing (secondary pulley side).
NOTE:
- Make adjustment so that the press gets in contact with the center of ST2.

Using new gaskets and new O-rings, install the plugs.
CAUTION:
- Before installing O-rings, apply sufficient amount of CVTF to avoid damage and deformation.
- Use SUBARU genuine CVTF.
- Be careful not to incorrectly install or fail to install O-rings and other such parts.
NOTE: For the plug (a), fill the CVTF, and then tighten the plug using a new gasket.

Tightening torque:

T1: 13 N.m (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 ft-lb)

T2: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

T3: 50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)

Install the lubrication pipe with a new O-ring.

Tightening torque:

16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)
