Transmission Harness: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission body. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>Transmission Assembly>REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the transmission ground.

  3. Disconnect the harness connector from the secondary speed sensor (A), front wheel speed sensor (B), primary speed sensor (C), secondary pressure sensor (D), and inhibitor switch (E).

  4. Remove the harness stay from the transmission harness connector and inhibitor harness connector.
  5. Remove the torque converter. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>Torque Converter>REMOVAL .
  6. Install the ST and place the transmission body.
    NOTE:
    • When attaching the ST to the (a) positions, spacers or similar of 2.0 mm (0.08 in) or more in thickness are necessary.
    • Prepare a container for draining of oil, because CVTF remaining inside the transmission body may flow out from the input shaft portion.

    ST: STAND ASSY (18632AA000)

  7. Remove the control valve body. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>Control Valve Body>REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the bolt securing the transmission harness.

  9. Remove all clips and remove the transmission harness.
  10. Remove the O-rings.
