X MODE Switch: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: On power seat models, move the front seat all the way forward before disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
  2. Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N range".

  3. Remove the switch panel front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Center Console>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the X mode switch.
