Engine Oil: Replacement

CAUTION: If the engine oil is spilt over the engine, exhaust pipe or the under cover, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.

Engine oil:

Refer to "RECOMMENDED MATERIALS" for engine oil. Ref. to RECOMMENDED MATERIALS .

Engine oil capacity:

Refer to "SPECIFICATION" for engine oil capacity. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION .

Remove the oil filler cap.
Drain engine oil by loosening the drain plug.

Install the drain plug using a new gasket.
CAUTION: An old gasket may be adhered to the drain plug, so be sure to check the plug.

Tightening torque:

41.7 N.m (4.3 kgf-m, 30.8 ft-lb)
Add engine oil up to the "F" line on oil level gauge.
Install the oil filler cap.
Check the engine oil level. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE OIL>INSPECTION .
