Except For IMPREZA Model

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the reservoir tank. (Hybrid model) Ref. to COOLING (H4DO(HEV))>RESERVOIR TANK> REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the rubber cap and disconnect the terminal.

  4. Remove the oil pressure switch.
    CAUTION: Use cloth to catch the engine oil in order to prevent it from splashing.

  5. Remove seal material from the oil pressure switch and the thread portions of the chain cover.
