Fuel Injector LH

CAUTION:
  • Be careful not to spill fuel.
  • Catch the fuel from the pipes using a container or cloth.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.

  3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  4. Remove the high-pressure fuel delivery pipe assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE>REMOVAL>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY .
  5. Remove the high-pressure fuel delivery pipes. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE>REMOVAL>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE .
  6. Remove the fuel injector. (2.0 L fixed displacement compressor CVT model)
    1. Disconnect the connectors (A) from fuel injector.
    2. Remove the bolts securing the fuel injector pipe LH, and remove the fuel injector and the fuel injector pipe LH as an assembly.

    3. Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel injector pipe LH.

  7. Remove the fuel injector. (2.0 L variable displacement compressor CVT model and MT model)
    1. Disconnect the coupling harness from the engine wiring harness, and remove the tape (a).

    2. Disconnect the connectors (A) from fuel injector.
    3. Remove the bolts securing the fuel injector pipe LH, and remove the fuel injector and the fuel injector pipe LH as an assembly.

    4. Disconnect the coupling harness (A) from the fuel injector.
    5. Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel injector pipe LH.

  8. Remove the fuel injector. (2.5 L model)
    1. Move the A/C compressor aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
      NOTE: This procedure is required to disconnect the fuel injector #2 connector.
      1. Remove the V-belts. Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>V-BELT>REMOVAL>GASOLINE ENGINE MODEL .
      2. Remove the V-belt cover bracket.

      3. Remove the bolt securing the A/C compressor.

      4. Move the A/C compressor as shown in the figure.
        CAUTION: Do not bend the pipe portion of the hose pressure discharge and the hose pressure suction.

    2. Disconnect the connector (A) from the coupling harness and remove the clip (B).
    3. Disconnect the connector (C) from the fuel injector #2.
    4. Remove the fuel injector pipe LH together with the fuel injector.

    5. Disconnect the coupling harness from the fuel injector #4.
    6. Remove the fuel injector.
