Select Lever: Removal

Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N" range.

Lower the boot assembly vertically toward the lever. (Model with boot shifter)

Remove the clamp grip pin.

Remove the grip assembly.

Remove the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
Remove the panel center LWR LH and RH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
Remove the harness clip from the select lever assembly.

Separate the floor carpet to three layers, and cut them while staggering their cut position as shown in the figure.

Disconnect the harness connector.

Remove four bolts.

Lift up the vehicle.
Remove the center exhaust cover.

Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body.
CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

Lower the vehicle, and remove the select lever assembly from the room side.

NOTE: Pass the select cable from the underside of the vehicle to the room side.
