Engine Control Module (ECM): Installation

CAUTION:

When replacing the ECM, be sure to perform [Entry VIN] after the service. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO(HEV))>WORK SUPPORT .
When the ECM of model with immobilizer has been replaced, be sure to perform the registration of immobilizer system. (Refer to "Type F" described in "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER".)

NOTE: When replacing the ECM, be careful not to use the ECM of wrong specification to avoid any damage on the fuel injection system.

Install the ECM bracket.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Temporarily install the ECM to the vehicle, tighten the fasteners in numerical order as shown in the figure.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Install the HV air conditioning wire and power cable assembly to the ECM bracket.

Connect the connector in numerical order as shown in the figure.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the connector, when connecting the connector, insert the connector straight in until it stops, and while maintaining the position, lock the lever.

NOTE: Check that the lever is located at the position shown in the figure (position beyond the lock portion (a)).

Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
