Engine Control Module (ECM): Removal

  1. Before starting work, refer to "WARNING (HYBRID SYSTEM)" in "General Description". Ref. to PRECAUTION/WARNING>WARNING (HYBRID SYSTEM) .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Disconnect the connector in numerical order as shown in the figure.
    CAUTION: Make sure that the lock is released before moving the lever in order to avoid damaging the connector.
    NOTE: To disconnect the connector, press the portion (a) shown in the figure to release the lock and move the lever in the direction of arrow.

  4. Remove the HV air conditioning wire and power cable assembly from the ECM bracket.

  5. Remove the ECM from vehicle.

  6. Remove the ECM bracket.
