Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Drain engine coolant. (Engine side) Ref. to COOLING (H4DO(HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT>ENGINE SIDE .
- Remove the collector cover. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
- Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover UPR - front.
- Remove the bracket - hood stay.
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the front under cover. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>REMOVAL .
- Remove the inverter radiator outlet hose and inverter tank outlet hose from the clamp.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the bolt securing the inverter tank, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
- Remove the compressor bracket - front.
- Move the electric compressor assembly in the direction of arrow.
- Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the engine coolant temperature sensor using the ST.
NOTE:
STRUT MOUNT SOCKET (20099PA000) can also be used.
