Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Drain engine coolant. (Engine side) Ref. to COOLING (H4DO(HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT>ENGINE SIDE .
  3. Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.

  4. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  5. Disconnect the connector (A) and preheater hose (B).
  6. Remove the throttle body.

  7. Remove the preheater hose.
    NOTE: Perform this procedure when required.
    1. Remove the collector cover. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
    2. Remove the preheater hose from the intake manifold assembly.
    3. Remove the preheater hose.
