VDC Control Module And Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U): Removal

CAUTION:
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the hydraulic unit assembly VDC.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not pull on the harness when disconnecting the connector.
    • Wrap the brake pipe with a vinyl bag so as not to spill the brake fluid on the painted surface of the vehicle body.
    • If brake fluid is spilled on the painted surface of the vehicle body, wash it off immediately with water and wipe clean.
    1. Remove dirt from around the hydraulic unit assembly VDC.
    2. Pull up the lock lever (b) while pressing the lock button (a) to disconnect the hydraulic unit assembly VDC connector.

    3. Separate each brake pipe using a flare nut wrench.

      Preparation tool:

    4. Remove the bolts and nuts, and then remove the following parts.
      • Bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC
      • Bracket hydraulic unit adapter
      • Hydraulic unit assembly VDC
