Thermo Control Valve Assembly: Installation
- When thermo control valve assembly is replaced
- Install a new gasket to the thermo control valve assembly.
- Connect the thermo control valve assembly to the water hose (A), water hose (B) and water hose (C), and install the bolts that hold the thermo control valve assembly.
Tightening torque:
16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)
- Connect the preheater hose (D).
- When thermo control valve assembly is not replaced
- Connect each new hose to the thermo control valve assembly.
- Install a new gasket to the thermo control valve assembly.
- Connect the water hose (A), water hose (B) and water hose (C), and install the bolts that hold the thermo control valve assembly.
Tightening torque:
16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)
- Connect each new hose to the thermo control valve assembly.
- Install the engine wiring harness stay.NOTE: Use the following formula to calculate the reading of a torque wrench when tightening with a crowfoot wrench.
Calculation formula T = 19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb) x L1/(L1 + L2) T: Reading of the torque wrench
L1: Effective length of the torque wrench
L2: Effective length of the crowfoot wrenchNOTE: If the effective length of the tool used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the tool.Tightening torque:
19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)
- Connect the connector (A) and connector (B).
- Install the clip (A), clip (B) and clip (C) and install the bolt securing the engine ground and the harness case.
Tightening torque:
19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)
- Install the high-pressure fuel delivery pipe assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE>INSTALLATION>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY .
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
- Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
