- Connect the coupling harness and install the knock sensor using a claw-foot wrench.NOTE:
- Knock sensor must be positioned so that the connector center comes within the range shown in the figure.
- Make sure that the knock sensor and its connector do not touch the adjacent parts.
Tightening torque:
Calculation formula
T = 24 N.m (2.4 kgf.m, 17.7 ft.lb) x L1/(L1 + L2)
T: Reading of the torque wrench L1: Effective length of the torque wrench L2: Effective length of the crowfoot wrench
NOTE: If the effective length of the tool used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the tool. - Install the clip (D) and clip (E), and connect the connector (C).
- Install the engine wiring harness stay.NOTE: Use the following formula to calculate the reading of a torque wrench when tightening with a crowfoot wrench.

- Install the clip (B).
- Install the engine ground and the harness case.
Tightening torque:
19 N.m (1.9 kgf.m, 14.0 ft.lb)
- Connect the connector (A).
- Install the intake manifold assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Intake Manifold Assembly>INSTALLATION .
- Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
- Install the collector cover. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>COLLECTOR COVER>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
