Transfer Clutch: Installation

  1. Install the thrust bearing.
    NOTE: Make sure to install in the right direction.

  2. Select the transfer driven gear shim. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>Transfer Clutch>ADJUSTMENT .
  3. Remove the transfer clutch from the extension case.
  4. Attach the selected transfer driven gear shim to extension case with vaseline
  5. Install a new seal ring to the transfer clutch.
    NOTE: Apply CVTF to the seal rings.
  6. Install a new seal ring to the transfer driven gear.
    NOTE: Apply CVTF to the seal rings.
  7. Install the transfer clutch.
  8. Install the extension case. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>Extension Case>INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the electric oil pump. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>Electric Fluid Pump>INSTALLATION .
  10. Install the transmission body. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>Transmission Assembly>INSTALLATION .
