Transmission Control Module (TCM): Installation

CAUTION:
  1. Install the TCM.

    Tightening torque: 

    7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)

  2. Connect the connector.
    NOTE: Move the lock lever and confirm that a clicking sound is heard.
  3. Install the transmission case cover (front).
    NOTE:
    • Insert the transmission case cover (front) between transmission case cover (rear) and transmission body.
    • When inserting, be careful that the insulator inside transmission case cover is not turned over.

    Tightening torque: 

    7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)

  4. Install the pitching stopper. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>Transmission Mounting System>INSTALLATION>PITCHING STOPPER .
  5. Connect the ground cord.

    Tightening torque: 

    32.3 N.m (3.3 kgf-m, 23.8 ft-lb)

  6. Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  8. Perform "Clear AT learning value" and "AT learning mode" using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>AT learning .
