Select Lever: Installation

Install the select cable. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>Select Cable>INSTALLATION .
Install the select lever.
Tightening torque:

18 N m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
Connect the connector.
Install the harness.
Install the duct console center. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT DUCT>INSTALLATION>CONSOLE DUCT>CENTER .
Install the clamp.
NOTE: Insert it from the front side.
Install the grip.
NOTE: Install it while pressing on the clamp.
Install the boot. (Model with boot shifter)
Install the grip cover. (Model with gate shifter)
Connect the select cable to the transmission main body.
CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

NOTE: Set the washer before installing the snap pin.

Tightening torque:

25 N m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Adjust the select cable free play. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>Select Cable>ADJUSTMENT .
Install the center exhaust cover.
Tightening torque:

18 N m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
Shift the select lever to "P range".
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
