Select Lever: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  2. Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N" range.

  3. Remove the center exhaust cover.

  4. Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body.
    CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

  5. Lower the grip cover vertically. (Model with gate shifter)

  6. Lower the boot vertically. (Model with boot shifter)

  7. Remove the clamp.

  8. Remove the grip.

  9. Remove the duct console center. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT DUCT>REMOVAL>CONSOLE DUCT>CENTER .
  10. Remove the harness.

  11. Disconnect the connector.

  12. Remove the select lever.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to apply a load to the select cable.

  13. Remove the select cable. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>Select Cable>REMOVAL .
