Diagnostic Procedure
WARNING:
When performing inspection mode on a public road, pay sufficient attention to the traffic condition and give the highest priority to safe driving.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for at least 10 seconds without starting the engine.
- Start the engine, and run the engine at idle for 60 seconds or more while the vehicle is at a standstill.
- Accelerate to 40 km/h (24.9 MPH) or more, and depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle with the gear kept in D range.
- Check that the Auto Start Stop functions for at least 10 seconds.
- Release the brake pedal to restart.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and wait for 10 seconds or more.
- If the Auto Start Stop does not function for 10 seconds or more in step 4), repeat steps 1 ) to 5) with the number of driving cycles described in the detection condition for each DTC. Ref. to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>INSPECTION MODE .
- Read the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and check the DTC. Ref. to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
NOTE:
- If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).
- When the Auto Start Stop functions for at least 10 seconds, the function recovers properly.
