Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly
- Operate the remote control mirror switch to face the mirror repair inside.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the mirror repair.
- Insert a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool into the tool insertion opening shown in the figure, release the engagement and take the mirror repair outward to remove.CAUTION: When removing the repair mirror, be careful not to damage the back surface of repair mirror with a flat tip screwdriver.
- Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)
- Insert a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool into the tool insertion opening shown in the figure, release the engagement and take the mirror repair outward to remove.
- Release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror.CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the outer mirror cover, as the lower hooks may become damaged.
- Remove the screws and release the claws, and then remove the cover cap outer mirror lower.
- Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Release the claws and then remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.
- Remove the light assembly side turn mirror.
- Remove the screws and release the claws, and then pull out the light assembly side turn mirror to the front of the vehicle.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the light assembly side turn mirror.
