Basic Inspection

Before performing diagnosis, check the following items which might affect the problem of Driver Monitoring System.

1. Check the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DOTC)>BATTERY>INSPECTION . Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY>INSPECTION .
2. Check the main and other fuses, and harnesses. Also check for proper grounding.
3. Check whether the infrared LED illuminates/goes off according to ON/OFF of Driver Monitoring System OFF Switch in the center information display.
4. When Driver Monitoring Unit is soiled with any dirt or fingerprint, wipe off with soft cloth or cloth wrung out of water.
