LH Side

  1. Remove the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY>REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect connector (A) from ECM.
    CAUTION: In order to prevent damaging the connector (A), check that the lock is released completely when moving the lever.
    NOTE: To disconnect the connector (A), press the portion (a) shown in the figure to release the lock and move the lever in the direction of arrow.

  3. Disconnect the connector (B) from the main fuse box, and remove the engine wiring harness from the clip (C).

  4. Disengage the claw (A) which holds the battery cable assembly to the bracket and the claw (B) which holds the engine wiring harness, and move them aside so that they do not interfere with the work.
  5. Remove the bracket.

  6. Disconnect the connector from ignition coil.
    NOTE: While pressing the spring (a) shown in the figure, slide it in the direction of the arrow with a clip remover.

  7. Remove the ignition coil.
