Belt Assembly Front Out
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
- Do not drop or subject the pretensioner to any impact.
- Since the pretensioner and bracket are integrated as a unit, do not disassemble them.
- Do not reuse the clips on the top of the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR. Once the clip is removed, its holding force is reduced. Be sure to replace it with a new clip.
- Tilt the front seat backrest assembly forward, and move the front seat all the way forward.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover side sill front Rr, the cover side sill rear UPR, weather strip body side flange, and the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR. (On the side where seat belt assembly is removed) Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>LOWER INNER TRIM>REMOVAL .
- Remove the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR. (On the side where seat belt assembly is removed) Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>UPPER INNER TRIM>REMOVAL .
- Remove the bolts, and then remove the belt assembly front OUT.
- Remove the bolt, and then remove the adjuster shoulder anchor.
