After Overhaul

  1. Remove the ST (STAND ASSY).
  2. Install the air breather hose. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>AIR BREATHER HOSE>INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the torque converter. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>TORQUE CONVERTER>INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).
    1. Attach a new O-ring to the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).
    2. Install the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).
      CAUTION: Be careful not to allow any foreign materials to enter the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature) and the transmission body during installation.

      Tightening torque: 

      19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  5. Remove the filler plug (for overhaul), and refill approx. 10 L (10.6 US qt, 8.8 Imp qt) of CVTF.
    CAUTION: Always use specified CVTF. Using fluid other than specified CVTF will cause malfunction.

    Preparation items: 

    CVTF: Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION>CVTF .

  6. Using a new gasket, install the filler plug (for overhaul).

    Tightening torque: 

    50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)
