LH Side

  1. Connect the coupling harness and install the knock sensor using a claw-foot wrench.
    NOTE:
    • Knock sensor must be positioned so that the connector center comes within the range shown in the figure.
    • Make sure that the knock sensor and its connector do not touch the adjacent parts.

    Tightening torque: 

    Calculation formula

    T= 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb) x L1/(L1+L2)

    T: Reading of the torque wrench

    L1: Effective length of the torque wrench

    L2: Effective length of the crowfoot wrench

    NOTE: If the effective length of the tool used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the tool.

  2. Install the clip (D) and clip (E), and connect the connector (C).
  3. Install the engine wiring harness stay and install the clip (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  4. Install the engine ground and the harness case.

    Tightening torque: 

    19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  5. Connect the connector (A).

  6. Install the intake manifold assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
