- Check the voltage between connector terminals.
Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard 2 - 3 Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 (+) - 3 (-).
When the end of stop light switch is pressed in to make the length (a) 3.6 mm (0.14 in) (actually a little shorter than 3.6 mm (0.14 in)), output voltage will be OFF.0.5 V or less Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 (+) - 3 (-).
When the end of stop light switch is pulled back to make the length (a) 3.6 mm (0.14 in) (actually a little longer than 3.6 mm (0.14 in)), output voltage will be ON.12 V 4 - 3 Apply battery voltage between terminals 5 (+) - 3 (-).
When the end of stop light switch is pressed in to make the length (a) 4.5 mm (0.18 in) (actually a little shorter than 4.5 mm (0.18 in)), output voltage will be ON.12 V Apply battery voltage between terminals 5 (+) - 3 (-).
When the end of stop light switch is pulled back to make the length (a) 4.5 mm (0.18 in) (actually a little longer than 4.5 mm (0.18 in)), output voltage will be OFF.0.5 V or less - Replace the stop light switch assembly if the inspection result is not within the standard value.
