Body Integrated Unit: Removal

CAUTION:
  • When the control module related to immobilizer has been replaced, be sure to perform the registration of immobilizer system. 

    For detailed operation procedure, refer to "Type G" described in "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER". (Except for C0 model (models without keyless access with push button start system)) 

  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to  AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION 
  1. When replacing the body integrated unit, check and record the current settings. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>REGISTRATION BODY INTEGRATED UNIT>OPERATION>CONFIRM CURRENT SETTING
  2. Prepare all immobilizer keys already registered. (Except for C0 model (models without keyless access with push button start system))
  3. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
  4. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL
  5. Remove the body integrated unit.
    1. Disconnect connectors.
    2. Remove the bolts and nuts, and remove the body integrated unit.
