WARNING:
When performing inspection mode R on a public road, pay sufficient attention to the traffic condition and give the highest priority to safe driving.
NOTE:
Perform the inspection mode after warming up the engine except that the engine coolant temperature at engine start is specified.
- Check that the battery voltage is 12 V or more and fuel remains approx. half [20 - 40 L (5.3 - 10.6 US gal, 4.4 - 8.8 Imp gal)].
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Engine Control System]. Ref. to COMMON (diag)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Keep the engine at idle for at least 30 seconds in a fully warm-up condition.
- Start the driving.
- With the gear position in the 4th in the manual mode, take 10 seconds to accelerate from 1500 rpm to 4000 rpm.
- Decelerate to 1500 rpm in the 4th gear position. (There is no restrictions to the deceleration duration and how to use the brake.)
- Repeat steps 5) and 6) 10 times (end when the temporary code is acquired).
